How J. Taylor Private Wealth Got Started

As a dedicated financial manager, I’m always looking for ways to better serve my clients, which is why I’m writing to you today. I’ll be providing you with regular communications, from emails to blog posts to podcasts, informing you of hot topics in the industry, and helpful tips and tricks to help you effectively manage your finances.

I wanted to use this blog to give you all a chance to learn more about me and why I started this J. Taylor Private Wealth. To give you some background, I’m proudly born and raised right here in Tulsa, where I’m close to my friends and family. I have a beautiful wife named Nichole and two gorgeous twin girls, Emerson and Ashton.

How J. Taylor Private Wealth Got Started

My father, Jerry, started working in the finance industry in the 80s. He was always very persistent about me following the same path. When I finished college, he immediately recruited me to work for him. This gave me the chance to watch my dad passionately work in a field he loved. It made me realize my dad wanted me to follow in his footsteps so that I could keep his legacy alive.

I spent 13 years at UBS Financial Services and felt there could be fewer limitations when it came to meeting clients’ needs if I worked for myself. So, on March 12, I resigned from my current role and started my own company with my father, and I have enjoyed the challenge ever since.

When we transitioned to our new company, we also brought along our assistant, Kellie Schuttler. You may know her as the person who does all the “real” work and serves as the key backbone of our organization. She’s known as either the “work wife” or “work mother” of our office, and we’re so lucky to have her on our team.

More Than Just a Financial Firm

One of the main goals of our company is to treat our clients like friends and family. Taking care of people, their finances, and retirement plans is a serious and important job, and we constantly work to treat it as such. We take great pride in our ability to help our clients meet and exceed their financial goals.

I also love this job because it’s a chance to get to know each and every one of my clients. I enjoy getting to know what’s happening in your personal lives, rather than only talking about business matters.
